MCV is a weekly business-to-business newspaper published in the UK and devoted entirely to the video-game industry. It is published by trade-mag outfit Intent Media, who has handled its production since buying the title off Germany's Computec Media in 2002.

The paper was launched simultaneously by Computec in the US, UK, and Germany on December 4, 1998, with each edition localized for that country's game marketplace. It was a direct rival to GameWEEK, but had the advantage of being a true weekly, as well as having news bureaus set up across most of the European continent. The US edition was published regularly until Computec USA's closure in 2000, and the German edition has also been shut down. Editions were also published in France and the Benelux region for a time.
